So today I decided to see if I could remove the "orange peel" from the plastics Ive painted.

Before: Notice the texture which is ugly as f***

After:

Now its a mirror finish which looks 10x better

To do this I just used 1500 W/D sand paper and just went over it a few times, dried it off to see any remaining orange peel then kept sanding until it was gone. I didn't apply ANY force just enough so the paper wouldn't slip out of my hand.

Then just use compound and a car polisher to remove the scratches and haziness, you will need a polisher and cutting pad as doing by hand will not work.

Good choice for visiting Callum at AV-DC for your LED change, it is quite a tricky job.
I've known him for years and wouldn't go anywhere else for car audio or electrical modifications

I cut the the center out of the grill and put mesh behind it. Looks crap up close but great from a distance
