Hi ALL

Ok
VS 1999 L67 statesman 50th
Upgrade coil, dfi, leads plugs, 10psi pully,, new crank sensor , oxygen sensor, fuel pressure valve, fuel pump plus more,

before replacing all this it was braking down, stuttering underload, and real bad thru 3000 to 4000
but would drive thru, it
replaced all that , 2 weeks later started again , then DFI stopped working,
Mace replaced DFI and have been great, 2ND one within 2 weeks started the same problem.
Again replaced but straight away its started again ,
No codes , and fuel mix right .
HELP

What plug gaps are you running?

Have you cleaned the MAF?

Aftermarket replacement parts don't seem to measure up as well as OEM. Try finding a known good used dfi and see what that does.

Are you using the heat paste on the dfi module?

mechanic replaced plugs so not shore,
yep cleaned MAF yesterday. while replacing DFI, nice cover of paste, not to heavy not to light.

This problem started awhile ago B4 i shat a water pump so while fixing i went and replaced all the other stuff.
starting to think that while replacing DFI I've got battery disconnected which is rebooting ECU.
but problem takes a day or 2 to come back. its driveable unless ya want to give a ford a scare off the line.
But 2nd DFI did just stop and wouldn't start

Mace are getting other DFI,s looked at maybe that report might give sum indication

Just replace with a used oem dfi & coils.

Also check the dfi plug for burnt pins.

Think I just fixed it changed pcm out of spare statesman and put the fuel map thing in , can't think of it's name .
Other one was real hot and I'd only moved car couple of meters .
Took out for test , no problems so far

Cheers anyway

Yer mencal
It was out of a standard V6 , and mines supercharged, dus feel a little less snappy but even gear box changed better ,
Put one out of vx but wouldn't run.
Suppose I'll find out in a few days

You can't just mix and match PCM's and memcals from different models.
