Almost got to sit in one. Dad was posted at William Town as Officers Mess Manager, 1986. I had a broken ankle. Did get to go up the ladder and look in. Hurt but worth it. If my ankle wasn’t broken/healing in cast, I would have been able to sit in the cockpit. Was so cool.
