I have locked my keys in the boot of my VE SV6 . The doors were already locked and I had disconnected battery to give it a charge up when my wife closed the boot

I put a bit of stuff in and out of boot.. I've thought I should never put my only key in the boot when it's open, as my boot drops at the blink of an eye. Those things are buggered.........

You are taking an unnecessary risk if you only have one key for your car. Get another one now while you still have a working key. Much cheaper and far less inconvenience than if you lose/damage your only key.
