ls1 alternator !!

So just put the new alternator in and went really really smooth! Took me two hours so glad it's finnaly done
Just had to take the fans air box and belt of the get to it
Brand new alternator was $300
The alternators sure get filthy down there, mine was covered in grease. Did you see what I meant about there being absolutely no way of getting it from the bottom?

2005 holden statesmen 5.7l
I just payed $797 for a new alternator installed on a 2005 holden statesman 5.7ltr. Was told that the alternator that was in car was from a 6ltr. Has anyone heard of that. The car is a 5.7ltr. The alternator was $555 and Labour was $242. Looks like it was a prick of a job.

Depends on mechanic.

Unfortunately I paid $132 for install and $230 Genuine Holden for alternator for a LS1

Soz man, but depends on where you are also.
If regional then dont have much choice

That alternator sounds a bit pricey. It must be a Holden price.

Add in, the W.A tax....From what I can gather, buying in W.A is more expensive, due to the distance between that state and the eastern states....
