LS1 Water Pump

Is it possible that the impellor can wear? Done thermostat, new OEM coolant, hoses etc are spotless, no scale, so not thinking radiator. Only after driving to the city, 260kms, does it start to overheat soon as i slow for lights etc, around town is fine.

Yes impellers will wear why they dont make it out of 316 SS like they should well then you would not have to replace it, are the thermo fan(s) kicking in when stationary as this sounds most likely.

Yep, replaced larger one few months ago and relays. Thats why im thinking the impellor vanes.

maybe the thermostat is the wrong one?

Did you also replace the housing and bolts?

Got it from Holden, had to buy housing with it lol, cant buy separate.
