In the process of pricing up the below system for my LS3 E1 Clubsport;

3" stainless cat back
1/78 headers/hi-flow cats
VCM OTR
MAF TUNE

I've been quoted between
$4800 (Custom made) up to $5815 (KPM Brand)

Is the actual $1000 difference comprised purely on brand? I've also had quotes around the $5300 mark (Hurricane headers/di fillipo Exhaust)

MY end goal here is a more aggressive sounding vehicle and a decent bolt-on performance increase. (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IkIGOLANmrM) as close to this sound as possible without spending circa 5k on a titanium exhaust.

Anyone who has been in a similar circumstance or has more knowledge than your average person i'd love some insight!

I don't want to be ripped off in price for a product that is inferior to the perhaps cheaper item, this happened enough with my old 2006 VE (timing chain/fuel sensor issues)

Apparently KPM are the bee's knees when it comes to VE/VF exhausts.

Bees knees of Chinese exhaust and poor fix of late. KPM exhaust used to be made in the shop next door, exhaust technologies. If your in SA look them up otherwise KPM will sound great but the quality is no better then X Force

di fillipo is in the middle and that's with hurricane headers.

so are the branded kits generally better than customer made (cheaper)?

di fillopo are no better than any of the others, the headers hang too low and scrape. Their quality leaves a lot to be desired. I had two mufflers made from them twice and had to send them back both times, the workmanship was terrible and the welding, what a joke. If you want it to sound like a boat go for them.

Give Manta a look too. I know they can be expensive over there, but I can ship from here cheaper than the shops sell over east.

The package I do is Hurricane 1 7/8" headers, 100 cell high flow cats and the Manta twin 3" in stainless or mild steel.

would love a price inclusive of shipping, wouldn't be opposed to ordering from you as you're quite reputable around here. (notanabbafan)
