[LS1] MACE 1.9 Rockers - Geometry/Pushrod Length

Hey guys,

Ive gone ahead and purchased a set of mace 1.9 rockers and PAC 1219 springs, after ringing a couple of well known shops in town, they advised not to fit the rockers and do a cam, and stating the rocker geometry will be out. Well I'm a stubborn bastard, and i don't want to waste $400 bucks worth of parts, I'm going to fit them. If i get get an engine builder to check the swipe pattern on the valves and adjust if possible, and also check pushrod length, and fit new hardened correct length push rods if necessary, the geometry should be correct again?

You shouldn't have to do any of that to fit mace rockers. Unbolt old rockers bolt new ones on. It's a simple 10hp gain unturned.

I don't see any problems doing that , sounds like they just want your money .

Yeah, its was mildly disappointing when both said "don't bother, fit a cam".
Rather than working with what you have and budget, I kind of felt like i was not spending enough coin on mods to warrant their time. Especially the mob i had previously been to for mafless tunes.
