faulty 02's will make it over fuel not run lean hence why the car would use more fuel - a possibility though as over fueling can kill a cat

Sounds like lean running. Check for vacuum leaks, or a blocked cat. But a blocked cat will feel like it's down on power as well.

Apparently its been chewing fuel too he gets 20ltrs/100km, he's mate he bought it off has been trying to tell him that it's normal (*cough* bullshit *cough*), but yeah anyway thx heaps for the replies ill show him this thread and hopefully gets it fixed.
