Map & Firmware Updates For Holden IQ?

I mentioned about the GPS sends me in circles, and tells me to "Turn Right Left" or "Turn Left Right", so I have no idea which way I am turning in a unfamiliar place, I said is there an upgrade for it ?, they told me there is and its on a disc, & it will cost me $350+, one would think its a warranty issue, but alas its not.

Find another dealer.
Nav data updates come on an SD card, which slots into the R/H side of the IQ.
Its not covered under warranty, but you can buy the update from Holden spare parts, less than $200, and DIY.

Had the 8217 maps installed (previous 7606) on Tuesday at a dealership here in the CBD, $165 on top of the scheduled service. They had signs up all over the service department plugging the update, although I think the quoted price only as part of a service.

Havent really driven the car since so cant comment on any improvements.

Why hasn't anybody uploaded the 8217 maps so everybody can share? In the current climate of internet downloading, surely someone has done it.

I need help finding someone that sells the MY14 maps in perth.
all the dealerships I've gone to don't have the maps for sale anymore.

well i found one place but they wanted to charge me $350 just for the SD card.

I can only find one seller on eBay and it has local pickup only

Any help or suggestion would be much appreciated

Dealerships have a database they can look up is see who has a part nation wide and can order part to be sent to them.

Great 2014 maps early this year $165 when u get a service.
2015 maps as above $165.

$330 updates for the year.

If I knew it was a SD card I wouldn`t have got GPS when I got the car new.
Had a good TOMTOM that I sold less that $330.

Just bought and installed this, version is now 8319. Looks the same at the moment, haven't done much driving to see if cameras / speed limits are updated.
