Hi all,

I am building a tribute vc hdt commodore.

It's got flares front and 15 inch old school holden globe wheels.

I am thinking 235 wide for the rear and 215 for the front, the current tyres are 205/ 60 15 but I think I need to raise the profile to 65 so it can fill up the gap nicely .

thoughts? suggestions?

I had 245/50/14 and then 235/60/14, both all round, on a VB without any fitment issues.

The 50 series did throw the speedo out though.

The wheels say on the back GLOBE 7JJX15 made in Australia.

I like the look of them just trying to figure out how to fill up the guards, stock suspension.

I would suggest 235/55-15 and 215/60-15

These two sizes match each other for height.
And diameter will go up to 639mm from 627mm.

Therefore you are slightly increasing ground clearance, as well as guard fill. Also more rubber on the road as per your desire.
Win/win/win

235/60/15 will go easily enough.

Can even go 255/60 on 43p chaser if car is not super low although barely fit finger between tyre & stock rear lower control arm
