Dropped it off at boss then got all the way back to Semaphore and got a call from Graham. Said that the VX and VY had a different diff and the minispool and gears wouldn't fit!:cry: Spewin! actually when I was getting the quotes one other guy did mention somethimg along those lines but no one else did so I thought he didn't know what he was talkin about. Oh well. I'll just hafta stick with the dodgy factory LSD with 250K on it. not what it used to be.

Should've asked. I would've told you they were different. I had that trouble when changing axles, tried a VT, no good, Tried a VX, no good, then the VY one was the match.

after readin this thread i bought a mini spool on ebay $90, recieved it today putting it in my vt berlina v6 myself on friday, wheelspin heaven on saturday lol...cant wait, was gunna chuck it in thisarvo but it started raining...also bought 3.45s off a guy on this forum, they'll also go in but at a later date, a mates just learning about how to set correct backlash at tafe now so wont be to long i hope.

lol, car is on jack stands in my driveway...diff is in garage, apparently, you need a "special" spreader tool???? pretty ****ed off about that actualy, i was under the impression that it was a fairly straight forward job..so taht means no car for a couple of weeks, i'll wait till my gears arrrive and get it all put in by illawarra gear and diff....i will miss her...
