At least your rego is logical and based on weight. Here in QLD we still use cylinders so I pay more registration on my SSV (about $1200 per year including CTP) than a four cylinder Toyota Land Cruiser Prado even though the weight difference between them is nearly one tonne.

i did a greenslip comparison using sydney post code as they are the dearest in the state clear drivers record fully comp insured 50 year old driver 6 or more years, 2003 vy ss sedan on the road cheapest is GIO $429.91 plus rego and annual pink slip 40-50 bucks adds up to nearly a grand

i only change the post code to ours 2305 newcastle $319.82 GIO

all the same for all light vehicles under 4.5 t apart from motorcycles only your driving history,location can affect the price
queensland goverment have removed the single seat option that save motorcycle owners money on rego going on comments on a bike forum nsw we never had this sing/solo option
