pod has the awesome whissle sounds when accerating, but from what i can tell the cold air works better. althou it dose cost a little more... but the Cai above the radator is legal, as for the pod filter its illegal...
i have scene a modifed CAI then too from above the raditor and some air from behiend the raditor.. it was forced induction but it was more air into the engine.

hope it helps.

Ok considered the differnet idea's cheers for the feedback.. how about a custom box which will house the pod & have a CAI run into that. Have a custom made Alloy.. acts as a heat sheild, and also gets that cool air in & keeps it in that area, have an opening in the top.. maybe a holden logo.. hah ill stop dreamin.

And i keep hearing all this talk about the longer the pipe the less presure? what would happen if you void the inlet pipe & have the filter right at the rear of the bay? .. only problem i see is heat :ranting: unless i sit it under a vent.

just toying with idea :drink: :drink:

StealthX the airbox is pretty good allready and no hot air can get into it, the only thing that is a bit dodgy apart from needing the VS V8 snorkel are those two bendy pipes with all the ridges in them but you would need to find some big bent rubber pipe to fix that and it might not be easy to come across. I think the airbox could be made into a tuned size that resonated to ram air in, but I don't know much about that and I think the box would need to be massive. The Buick V6 isn't a very racey design for an engine so it's never going to make massive power unless it's turbo charged, in that case they made over 800hp and were the fastest engines at the Indy 500 back in the late 80's early 90's.
