About the fabled cop tune..
When my gf got her bt1 a friend of her families claimed when the bt1s have finished their service with police they are detuned and its up to you whether to retune it.
But if thats true and you went to retune it, it would never be the same as the police spec. so imo they could of existed but not to the public.

nice to know they have lsd was sure the gfs car had that

The only difference was they had a higher idle. No extra power, nothing, just more revs so the battery didn't go flat with all the accessories they have ;)

No, that part was true. The only truth in this thread!

I have a bt1, it does not have a higher idle and it was never set with a higher idle, I worked at holden and this has been confirmed

If police cars had higher idles then taxi's would also need it as they also run very similar electrics...most sit idling with air on, 2way on, sat camera on etc.

Maybe they had been tuned after being sold, who knows.

The higher idle isn't much so don't expect your ex-pigga to be idling at 2000rpm, it'll be up by about 200-400rpm so bugger all to notice.

Dunno about your higher idle theorys. There's no difference in the VR bt1s to stockers, I'm looking at both tunes right now and they are identical. So unless it's a VS thing I'd say it's a urban myth :)
