One of the camera's will be IR. As for hardware I will share once I get it into the car and fully working as I'm not sure yet if I need other bits yet.

I'm curious to know how you got the cameras to interface with the iPad.

i am very very very interested in what u are doing i have a omega do u no if the facia your making for your sv6 fit into my omega and will making it all work be the same. and this is probley a dumb question but can u play music thou it i just havnt seen it writin

Can I gauge intrest in how many people would be interested in a plug and play kit for this setup.

I am by no means saying I'm going ahead with it but just seeing if it's worth while

Total cost is unsure but will exceed $2000

Very rough breakdown is

iPad $700
HVAC $450
Console surround $350 ( have to check with Holden)
Cables $100
Fascia ?? Around 300 plus depending on how many.

i can get the ipad real cheap so no problem there, was just curious if the fascia will fit a '09 ve sv6 the same as an omega? if so i'm definitely interested

This setup may be for sale soon as I'm going to try and do something a bit more crazy. PM me if your keen, it will include everything including IPAD, HVAC and fascia and the modified Trim Pieces.

Are you still planning to offer this? I'd be interested in the fascia and possibly the modified trim pieces. By modified trim pieces, do you mean the centre console stack which you have cut the plastic out of in order to fit the iPad?

Just wondering where this is up to? With the iPad mini being released I am more keen than ever to get this in my car.

Was thinking about it the other day, the iPad mini would work well. I think it could sit above the HVAC controls so you would not need the HVAC LCD.
