If the engine bay is body colour (I'm assuming it will be) don't paint the engine the same. I've always thought they blend in too much like that. Gunmetal would look good.

Gunmetal against the blue would be orgasmic

+1 for gunmetal

Gunmetal would be horn

I've been leaning towards gunmetal myself actually, i'll have to look at a few cars/colour swatches and see what i like.

Yeh, i don't know, i had the V6 body colour and i think it looked ok, but it did have some shiny bits to break it up. The 383 has aswell, alloy heads, manifold, pulleys etc. I agree though, whole engine body colour wouldn't work.

gun metal or make the block shiny like the heads.

Nah, shiny is a bit hard given the block is cast iron, not alloy like the heads. I'm actually trying to move away from shiny bits (probably a little hard to believe), i want it easy to keep clean. This obviously means polished alloy will be kept to a minimum.

c'mon, its gotta be red!

Nah, red would be too "out there".

I'm kinda partial to Chevy orange myself.

I'm with you on that Reap, i LOVE Chevy orange, but i'm not sure how it would contrast with the car. Even though i'm leaning towards Gunmetal grey, i've still got this voice in the back of my mind nagging at me saying "paint it Chevy orange, you know you want to..." :p
