Update Finally Lads:
Wall of info sorry
OK so mosied down to Lazza78's house for the weekend.(Yes the L made it to Brizzy)
Plenty beers were drank and tinkering with both the Vl's
First mod was the "Clutched power robbing fan" the rb30s have and was replaced with a 16" thermo fan, which is controlled by a Davies Craig Thematic Switch. Lazza hooked us up with a nice Stainless radiator top piece to clean her up a bit so i could ditch the fan shroud.
Now in talking **** as blokes do we come across the subject of my busted center bumper piece and other car stuff lazza recieved a Txt "u know anybody who needs a brand new gel coated centre" in about 15 mins from this conversation and i scored it for $20
Ears must have been burnin' or something.
Im going to Powdercoat the top cooler pipe Satin black to match the turbo intake color. i knew i was not happy with the Silver.
So primed it and painted it silver and it made it on the car.(Reo Bar must have a slight bend from the kick the cow did, as it is slightly noticed on the new centre) Also sprayed the Cooler and Trans cooler black yes and straightened it up..
As blokes do in a shed we had to do a couple of doses on her. Seen Here
now as we all know not all things go well with tinkering with cars as i snapped my bonnet cable and popped a cooler pipe under boost on the way home. which had me cranky as i had to jack up the front to get my arms up to manually pop the bonnet and fix my dilemma this taking a good 30 mins(personal note dont use cheap tridon clamps for IC piping. T-Bolts are the go.)
Lazza got a trans cooler installed for his L which was a smooth fast install.
Cheers Lazza for ur help. Had a fun weekend.
