I got some 3M satin black (which I think is the right balance between matte and gloss on a car) but if you wanted straight gloss you could. For a roof would be approx $130 based on a quick Ebay search. I covered my fridge but that is another story...

The wrap idea, even if you paid a professional to do it, seems like a neat compromise between current fashion & fashion next year & not getting your gutters/roofrack-mounts sprayed along with your roof.
