Need advice on upgrade options

I feel like I'm living on borrowed time! L77 at 100,000 Kms. So far it's whisper quiet, but I get paranoid and listen very carefully at every startup!
I think I might have to get some lifters and I guess a cam while I'm there. Time for a trunnion upgrade too I suppose.

I wish that I'd never read 9 years ago that lifters need doing by 100k. That statement whether true or false has had free rent in my mind now for 253k! L77 is getting a little noisier these days, but no knocking on startup or anything crazy and it's fairly quiet when warm.

I wouldn't worry about it too much unless you want a cam that is, service it every 7500 -10000 & use an engine flush every now & again.
Most of these issues arise from poor maintenance schedules.

A mate of mine has an old LS1 Statesman with 230,000 km's original engine and still sounds pretty good! He's used a Penrite 10w40 oil for years changed every 6 months and still going strong!
