Good morning all,
I've been having problems with my 2001 vx Calais ecotec.
The problem occurred 4 days ago where it randomly stalled in my drive (thankfully)
I needed to go out an hour later started easily, once warm it stalled and started a minute later. It contained to stall at low Revs so I was shifting between 1-3 (auto) it seemed to work but then stalled again.
I've still been using it to get to work the past four days some 50kms each way.
So far I've pulled the coil pack tested all with multi meter all seems good.
I've done the bridging technic for the engine light as it comes on and off at times.

Code flashes.
10-1-2-2
10-1-2-1

I'm going to clean the ICU a clean, the Air flow sensor and throttle body.
Could it potentially be the crank angle sensor?
I've also disconnected the battery for a day and no luck.
I'm kinda lost to what this might be.
Any help is really appreciated!
Thanks!

If I'm reading the codes correctly, they both are related to the TPS (Throttle Position Sensor)

accentstencil is quite correct, you should replace your TPS.

It sounds like it’s time to clean the throttle body and the idle air control valve (and check the hose under the throttle body while you are there). The TPS sounds like it may have failed too?

I had a similar fault where the car would occasionally stall. I cleaned the throttle body and the IAC passages, and also replaced the TPS and the IAC valve. The stalling was reduced but not completely eliminated. The final issue was that the throttle body needed adjustment - it’s not a common adjustment, but the procedure for checking is (from memory) recommended at every 160,000 km or so. Basically the IAC valve should be sitting at about step 22 (or so) when the engine is warmed up. If it’s sitting significantly higher, the throttle body stop needs adjustment to bring it back to (about) step 22. Have a search for a copy of the official service manual as there is a good flow chart in it outlining how to diagnose stalling issues.

I'll have a look into this chrisp.
Just to let you know what I managed to achieve tonight.
Removed and cleaned throttle body (alot of gunk)
Also removed air flow sensor and cleaned all in there also alot of gunk.
Still has the same problem seemed better tho.
I'll keep working on this over the next days.
Any more suggestions really appreciated.
Car has 225,000kms.
Cheers.

I did give the IAC a clean. Removed the carbon on the end and cleaned the port.
I believe I may have access to another ecotec for parts
