for kids? LOL , it has to be the brake switch wiring is faulty Dammit, still cant get it working.

Hey guys. I've been reading about some of your projects and wow!!
I've recently bought myself a VR Calais and have never been able to get the bloody cruise control working. I'm not far from giving up and just accepting i have an executive equivalent with leather trim. It turns on fine and everything but it just wont engage and start cruising. it flashes on for a sec and turns off again. if anyone has any ideas it would be much appreciated

Well I think it could be the brake switch faulty. Cruise it at 40 kms, put ur foot under the brake panel and lead it back see if the cruise is going ok. If yes, meaning your cruise control brake switch is too sensive. I had that problem before.
But I am still having problems with my cruise control at the moment, cant be bother do it cos I just brought a VS SS manual. So gonna sell my VS 1997 Esteem full ss body kit and berlina options inside soon. I think it could be my wiring faulty for the cruise control. Auto elec cant find the solution.

One other thing, If it wont engage, meaning there could be the brake switch, or the wiring faulty.

So when using cruise, the brakelights come on when the engine trys to slow you down...like going down a steep hill?? (I assume there is no connection to the brakes themselves?)
