New key?

Hi. I need a new key for my vt. I.m always pissing around with it to get the car to turn over to start. Must i go to holden for one or do other guys do them too like auto elecs for example? Thanks, Gus.

You indicate Vic, its a big state.
If your close enough, I can program in Key Head/s for you,
I have a couple of [2 Button] Wagon Key Heads I have had for a while if your interested.

I'm a hour and half away,
Holden will charge you an arm and a leg,
I have purchased a few off a couple of locksmiths from eBay, they are genuine ones also,
and replaced both of mine for my VY, and never faulted
and a friend also purchased 2 of the same Locksmith for his VX, and programmed them in for him, and they work perfectly.
And a relative needed one, and so I bought it off eBay again, and programmed it in, and worked perfectly.

Either you buy them [off eBay] and get your local Locksmith to program them in,
Or
buy them from your local locksmith, and get them to program them in.

Minster Minute are few and far between in Vic now.
Keeping in mind, "They Clone" them,
So if you have an issue with an existing Key Head, they clone the issue, so you can have the same problem.
Its best to get NEW ones, and program them in as a new Key Head,
From a reputable Locksmith.

If you haven't had a issue, your one of the lucky ones.

Yes that is correct,
As I said, you were one of the lucky ones that haven't had a cloned key cause any issues,
They probably cloned a good/working Key Head.

Kruising. Where are you locate? Are you able to help or would I be better off finding a locksmith? Would it be an inconvenience for you? Might you remember the ebay seller by chance? Do you know if the circuit board comes with the battery already installed? I once got some key batteries from ebay with the metal tabs on them where they just had to be lined up with the correct holes on the circuit board and with an iron they just fell right into place. Might you know if anyone still sells that type of battery? Thanks again, Gus.
