Nock sensors v6

Hey guys I just carried out an engine replacement in my v6 vu ute and it all runs fine but it seems that there is less power than there should be and it kinda bogs down ( looses some power ) when I put out the foot down. the engine light turns on when I get into 2nd gear but it turns off when I turn the car off and back on I have a feeling it is a Faulty nock sensor but I’m not 100% sure. any thoughts ??

Couple things on this.

Engine light on should log a code, don't guess what it can be, check coded first then post up here.

The replacement engine, did you check/replace plugs, leads, oil & filters?
Always good to check and service it so you have half an idea it has a good start to life in your car, but it's always a gamble if it's stuffed or not before you start it.
