i had the same problem with both my cars vs ecotecs whentb was installed the early shifts in 1st gear unless you give it heaps, got a tune from delcowizzid and it shifts perfect now

You can run both, though we use to run these before we developed the restrictor.

Part of me though I was going to be up for a shift kit, despite knowing from experience that it works on VT-ON cars LOL
