Nordschleife lap time for a sedan?

I am curious if Holden tried a VF sedan around the Nordschleife as well as the Redline ute.
I have only found one lap time for a Commodore: a 2004 SS 8m0.4s
And a 1990 Vauxhall Carlton Lotus turbo (on Opel V platform) scored 8m5.8s

That time of 8 minutes for a VY or VZ SS sounds a bit suss. Who tested it?
In 2000, Car UK magazine took a Vauxhall-badged HSV with Callaway engine to the 'ring and it was rumoured to manage 8:15

I recall "Motor" or "Wheels" taking a GTS to the ring with Mark Skaife and Andres Oloffson quite a few years ago. They did a comparison with a Merc and BMW
