VE SV6 SII
Hey guys,
First time poster, but I've lurked these forums for a while. I recently bought a VE SV6 SII and I'm thrilled with it (only my second car, so go easy). I've found these cheap and nasty OBD2 devices on ebay such as THIS, however there seems to be alot of conjecture online on whether such devices are compatiable with the VE, can anyone confirm it is? Thanks in advance.

They all work to some degree. By paying a little more than you've suggested you are likely to get improved 'performance'. Here's a few to have a look at: obd2 scan tool | eBay

Depends what you want from it, I have had a good experience with the "ELM327" units. I have had the USB, WIFI and bluetooth units and they all work fine on the VE.

Just be careful when buying units advertised as ELM327. Quite often they're not ELM chips but rather fake PIC microcontrollers programmed to emulate the genuine ELM chips.

ELMElectronics only ever released V1.3a V1.4b and V2.0 of these chips, anything else (v1.5) is fake

Quick question (maybe a stupid one) but where is the OBD2 plug located in the VE SII's?
