How should I be reading this?
There’s no scale provided. I’ve seen gauges that have a scale.

When i drove this home, pressure sat around the middle at 3 speed.

There does appear to be a pressure sensor oil leak. New sensor will be going in. Have it already.

When I eventually do start this project, I already have fuel pump fuse and relay removed.

So when I build up oil pressure cranking the motor, what should I be seeing and what is the scale of pressure here?

VZ LS1, Cross 8.

Is this an Physical Oil Pressure meter?,
or
a Electronic one ?

What's the scale range ?

If its a Physical Oil Pressure meter, one would assume just cranking the engine it should indicate at least some minor pressure,
or
If its a Electronic, When you turn the ignition on, the needle should jump/move just with power being applied.

Are the calibrations in atmospheric bar ............ ie 14psi = 1bar ?

I don’t know, that’s why I’m asking :D.
It’s electronic.
It’s factory.

Wouldn’t the manual indicate the calibration scale ?

The scale is kpa x 100.
1 = 100kpa = 14.5psi
3 = 300kpa = 43.5psi
5 = 500kpa = 72.5psi

I had a look in the user manual, was a bit inconclusive about what the gauge should do and what it says.

Thanks @DavesSV6Tonner

What s going to be the oil pressure I’m looking for when I crank the motor?

Oil pressure is usually bar.

2-5bar is the generally accepted range of operation.

This is going off my brothers 944. Not commodores.
