Im holding a factory oil pressure sender in my hand right now and its a 1/4 NPT without a doubt....this is the size of the threaded port in the oil pump....correct me if I am wrong!!

Better yet do a google search and you'll also find the "correct" sizing.....most aftermarket gauges come with 1/8NPT fitting and then will supply a 1/8th to 1/4NPT adapter.

The only prob with NPT fittings is that you will only get half the adapter threaded into the hole

That is exactly what I was thinking. Thanks J-man. and for all I could tell, yes this is the size of the hole in the pump body.

is there any reason u want to run both. i just pulled out the factory one and put the autometer one in its place, got a tee but it was the wrong one so gave up with that idea and just did it, the ecu doesnt need it and if the gauge is in eyesight u will see it and also hear if its not getting much oil pressure before u do too much damage.

ps take the air intake off and remove the alternator will make your life alot easier if you havnt already.

1/8th NPT drillbit size is 8.70mm
1/4 is 11.1mm
3/8th drillbit size is 14.5mm

the sender i have here on my lap is a 28G R 1/8th thread pitch and measures ~9.5mm and the tip and ~10mm at the fat end.

which fit my small block sender hole fine, but i needed a 3/8th adapter for the big block and the 3/8th is a 18G 5/16" pitch, 13.7 to 13.3mm

dunno if that helps, but 1/4 NPT doesnt mean the drill bit size is 1/4"

I just so happen to have this:

Just need sandwich plate, dash fittings and hoses.

Ari, also measured sender, I think if one was to be making a fitting for this they would be using the 11.1mm drill bit
