I have just put new tyres on my a MY11 Commodore VE Omega, so I want to replace the standard 16 inch rims and keep the tyres.

Would I be right in assuming that the replacement rim should be sized 16X7, 35MM OFFSET, 5X120

Would the bolt pattern 5X115 also fit?

Thanks for the reply, so, the size 16X7, +35MM OFFSET, 5X120 will be alright?

I know that the size 16x7 is OK

5x120 is the way to go

However, I really have no idea about the offset.

Reading up on how to measure offset, it seems that I need to remove the tyre from the rim to do the measuring?

Does anyone know the standard offset for a Holden 16 inch wheel for a MY11 Omega please?

the VE wheel is different from all previous Commodores.
If it's the same as any other car's standard equipment, I'd be pleased to know what that is.
The rim is nominally 7", but the standard tyres for it are 225mm.
the offset is as above.
the wheel studs are larger than previous models.
the centre-bore of the VE is smaller than previous models.
My advice would be: don't put your money down until you looked at a sample and tried it on for fit.

I think you are right Shorty.

The problem is that searching the web in Australia I have not been able to find any 16 inch chrome rims.

I found some in the USA on Amazon with a +40 offset, naturally I wouldn't be able to test fit them.

All sorted.

The offset is +36 however it will take up to +40.

The rims I was interested in the USA were selling at $147 each, I found the same rims at Talab Tyres and they are only $100 each.

They are made in the USA.

You're putting aftermarket 16's on your car? :hmmm:
Why no bigger?

I'd go at least 18s for a VE, anything smaller will look a bit weird I reckon.
