Covid protectant ?

Prolly, I'm not at all sure of this world we now live in.

Here's what I'm thinking of adding, not sure where atm because I want to add a trackpad instead of a mouse.

Braved the heat with some liquid coolant (beer) and headed into the garage.

After playing a few sessions the wheel mount kept working loose..

Some more melamine and problem sorted.

I don't have any m10/m12 bolts so the original one went back in.

Got some black carpet to go on the floor, maybe up the insides, undecided atm.

Now attempting to mount the PC up under the "hood"

Umm
PSX_20220126_183109.jpg

I needed to get to the power switch and power led pins to relocate them.

Using the spare illuminated arcade buttons to power the pc on

Changed out the white led for the pulsing multicolour leds, that I still haven't used on the pinball machine.

Trying to find a metal bracket or sorts to neatly mount it up under. EG

Might just drill some holes and use L brackets

Pc is now secure possibly a little low, but give enough for airflow for thr graphics card.

Now to see how much of the adjustable column I need to trim to accommodate the pc.

Measured and cut

Tested it in place and it didn't have enough clearance for the usb ports. Wasn't happy how low the pc sat anyway so I adjusted it

And placed the column back in place, no issues with the usb ports now on the lowest height setting.

Will finish off the power button loom and find a place to mount it

We are live.

Shitty little vid, but shows the dash thus far

Will need to tidy up the cables at some point behind the dash. Along with finishing the cabinet, more buttons, paint, wrap, etc.

ok so over a year and a half and nothing further has happened on this.

I had to move stuff around in the garage and the sim got loaded up and hidden in a corner. Kids keep asking if they can play, but cant get to it.

I've decided to use the 2.1 amp recently purchased for this instead of pinball. Trying to get the motivation to finish and move it inside. I cant see it so its hard to get annoyed its not done.
