Guys quick question.

What would happen if knock sensors are over tightened.

Make them not pick up knocking?
Not retard the timing?

Basically before 2000rpm I'm getting engine rattle.

Any tips?
Worth just replacing knock sensors and getting a retune?

won't make a difference unless you snap one off doing it up too tight.

Rattle... Have you dropped the oil to see if there is metal in it?

It's detonation guys. The tuner told me not to give it too much throttle on low revs because of that but when I get Dif gears it should be ok?

There's no metal in the oil or anything

But my understanding was the knock sensors are supposed to pick that up?

VN V6, nothing special
I always thought it was the other way around?
Tightening it too much would register false knock.
Where it being too loose wouldn't register proper knock..

I could be wrong?
