Does the VN have any painted surfaces on the dash, if so probably yes.

I know this is an old thread but I thought I would share my handy work on my VT. I have painted the dash to match the spokes on the steering wheel and vents on the door trims.

Looks mint, really like the woodgrain on the little storage space and shifter.

Hey guys, just a quick question. I just bought a vt series II and want to paint the centre console bit that goes around the speedo and shifter. Around the shifter the paints chipped off, will I need to sand this all so it's smooth? And also does anyone have any colour suggestions?

yes needs to be sanded back first, then primed and sanded again. until smooth

As for colour, either very shiny black, or your cars exterior paint code, depending on what colour your car is. For example, lime matte green would look crap.
