The 3.6s have the alloy manifold but the 3l have a plastic one

i think they look crap... will be taking mine off the second its delivered. Noise reduction?!? We arent talking about a cluncky old diesel here!

Lol, i'd hardly call any of the engines you'd find in a Commodore refined.

Come to think of it, the most refined engine to date is probably the RB30E in a VL.

I reckon they keep a bit of the heat away from your bonnet's paintwork. But I've had this theory already doubted on JC before, so maybe it is just for looks?
