Polishing plastic chrome

While it's chrome, it's not metal chrome it's plastic chrome. Don't use any polish that cuts that is made for paint. You will get halos and spiderwebs all through it. Get a specific plastic or lexan polish. Many brands have it. I used one years ago called safe cut. No idea who made it.
If it is rain spots which are mineral deposits, try dabbing with vinegar, let it sit then wash with regular car wash.

i use this and a rag, it is ammonia free and works well on all of the plastics and chrome

i got the same marks on my vf ute, all the chrome look like that pic you posted. ive always wondered how to clean it up.

i got the same marks on my vf ute, all the chrome look like that pic you posted. ive always wondered how to clean it up.
Once this lockdown in Vic is over, I'll get hold of a suitable product and let you know how it goes.
Hoping I can clean it all up.
