The same benefits you get from putting an aftermarket exhaust on your car, sound. I don’t mind that mine does it although I wouldn’t specifically pay money just to have it.

It's not a euro car.

The only way to make it pop and crackle is to basically tune it in a way the car will barely run.

Just removing cats or doing exhuast mods won't get the impact your looking for. If all your friends are rolling around in Golfs and Hyundai N's etc.......buy one of those because a commodore will NEVER do that.

I love my pop n crackle but then again it is a 600hp supercharged LS that uses 25-30L/100km so I don't really notice the fuel

You don't have to use more fuel to increase pops and crackles.

I manage to increase the pops considerably on my Vf2 by retarding the timing when the engine is transitioning to decel mode on HPTuners.

To get rid of the factory pop the timing has to be advanced on the table.

I haven't heard a VE that has a nice crackle (Alloytec). My old VY Spac I ran with pacemaker headers, cat delete, 2.5" straight with a hotdog in the rear with a slight tune (not a crackle and pop) I could get to pop excessively loud when tapping the throttle as I downshifted. Wish I had recordings. Still yet to hear a nice 6 VE

You'll probably need more than just a muffler delete if you want it to pop and crackle though what I'd do is either put SS mufflers, stock mufflers or buy a popcorn machine
