and now you understand why the commencal is not built for uphills :p
for ari: 3:15 was the best time filmed. not bad for sitting down the whole way.

also, went to the shop today.
they had a Norco Aurum 3 (so lowest model)
felt pretty good just pedalling around store. very soft suspension though, could do some good stuff on it.
would love to get one, not sure if can justify that kinda money just yet.

'07 VZ Acclaim wagon.
just got back from you-yangs. 6 runs of cressy's decent and only 1 accident/grazed elbow, no bike damage.

winning :)

Was there for the first time in a few years on Thursday. Was with a mate who's still fairly new to riding, so did one run down Lactic Acid, and across to Boulder back down to Stockyards carpark. Great fun! Definitely gotta get out there more often.

Jecs.

I went to the police station out of curiosity (I was bored tbh) and asked.
"so what happens if you pull me over on a bike"

they said
"you would have to be riding pretty badly and all over the place"

so were you riding all over the place? :p

ahh no helmet.

I was thinking it was for drink riding.
apparently, if you're on your p's you have to be 0.00 even on a bike, that's what the officer said but did say if you get brethoed your doing something wrong :p

also ordered 2 bits of metal to change the rear drop outs to 12 through axle.
thanks commencal, you're the only place you can buy the non drive side from. great price.
but 54 euros to ship 2 bits of metal the size and weight of a commodore key. *rages*

will be worth it when the bike begins to weigh a bit less though.

and people say cars are expensive.... :p

here's my mountain bike, Diamondback - nothing too fancy but it's still got an alloy frame and has served me well. I've owned it now for about 7 years, over 8,000kms on it now. All road riding... My g/f and I just returned from a weekend away, we took the bikes with us and hit a few trails. Was a lot of fun, would like to do more

and here's my latest bike. Needed a road bike as that's mainly where my g/f and I ride. Mountain bikes are too heavy and have too much rolling resistance for the longer rides, so we thought we'd keep the mountain bikes for the trail rides and get something more suitable for the road, without going too extreme. Only picked it up on Friday afternoon. Trek 7.5FX 29" wheels, carbon fork, nice & light. Haven't had the chance to ride it yet! But it's HEAPS lighter than the mountain bike. Now going away for 10 days with work, so won't get to ride it for a couple of weeks.... :(
