I'm way up the top of the far North Island too, almost at the pointy bit, not in a city. (NZ$82 / month)

Not quite so great download speeds when connecting to Australia, we tend to get choked at your end. This one was to/from Optus Sydney.

That doesn't really effect me or my gaming, when it's more the ping that matters when I'm trying to gib you guys and gals on a TF2 server.
Games, especially older ones, mostly use the faster and lighter UDP protocol rather than TCP, which means they suffer if there is any packet loss (other players warping, rubber-banding, etc.) and this ISP has been very good.

herd a while ago they were saying since we are using more data for streaming and such they are going to release the higher speeds at the same lower cost to cope with the demand, still waiting for that rollout
