So it's come to this , bickering about climate control.

It's just the nature of online forums, you could tell someone that grass is green and they'll want to argue the point... You have to admit there have been arguements on here over far more petty things lol

Nope.......

Always good to see Aussie product in a foreign land. Looks to be in very nice condition OP.
In fact, my car proves that Aussie cars have high quality!

Welcome, and nice car. My Daughter has a VT Equipe.....Lots of bling and a good car that runs well.

Not sure about export vin numbers compared to aussie one but what is the letter after "VT"? Typical Vin number example is 6HA VT X 69 H V L 123456.
The "X" in that one = Calais, L = Berlina, K = Exec.
I have never seen a VT Calais come out with that stereo in the pic nor that climate control panel and referring it to mine being an unmolested series 1 VT Calais when I bought it it looks different.

Holden also have a history of altering external appearances of the cars they export hence why I still think it's an optioned Berlina.

Today with 122.000, but I have painted the front and hear bumpers, and the rest of the car remais as you see at the photos!!

I think that the good condition of the cars is by 2 reasons:

1) High quality of cars made in Australia;
2) The most part of the use is on the higway.

Cars manufactured by Holden in Australia and exported don't always have identical equipment levels to the Australian market models. It may be that any discrepancies between the equipment fitted to the OP's car and what we are used to here, as either a Berlina or Calais, is probably due to that policy. It is possible that the car was basically a Calais, but differed in some specification from an Australian Calais, to suit the export market requirement.
