problem with door lock

hi all,
hope your well and that your cars are going better than mine. the front door lock on my vp is hard as hell to turn and deadlocks instead of locks and wont open the central locking is trying to lock then opening again i have the door trim off and it looks mechasnical as opposed to elec is the a common prolem or any tips/ advice you have thanks

My car has a similar problem.... i press the central locking button to open it and all the locks but the drivers side door opens so i have to open the back door and then unlock the driver door. if i try to unlock it with the key it just gets jammed and the lock doesnt flick up.
