problem with starting my VL

hi

i was working on my vl the other day and took off the rocket cover and i put it back on and went to start my VL but it wouldnt turn over and start. the brake light comes up and the brake pedal is stiff and wont move, the oil pressure is on highest it goes but the fuel pump star and pumps. please can someone help me and what do i need to do? thanks

my v8 holden vl 1987,im having a problems on turning it over???? i can only hear the starter motor widing up.but i dont hear any action in the combustion chamber??? im gona go under the car and see if the gears on the starter is zipped in with the flywheel gear in the gear box,ive cheak the fuse's and the battrie,and all the wireings,ive also poured abit petrol into the carbie still no action,ive cheaked all base's that i could think of on this classic beast,this is the first time its happen to me and im running out of options?????but i know it something little,i would like to hear any tips from others that have 10yrs or more with classic beasts out there,my ears are open for genunie greese heads out there...cheers bro.

Few things. Your spelling is atrocious.

So is the starter motor turning at all or is it just clicking?
If its turning the whole motor and u have fuel it has to be spark problem.
Check all coil leads and dizzy leads.
