Still using factory temp guage & where does it sit?

Just got mine driving new vs twin core,vs thermofan & 190f/82deg thermostat.

Takes ages to get to 1/4 mark so assume that's where thermostat opens/closes then above 1/4 to next digit fan comes on & turns off.
Mine sits just under 1/4 when cruising along the highway in very cold weather and just on 1/4 all other times except when the a/c’s on in traffic when it gets to 1/3 or so. 82 deg thermostat with 92.5 on and 88.5 off temps.

Don't have the factory temp sensor anymore as I used that port for my Autometer gauge.

It sits comfortably around 88-90 degrees (standard thermostat) all day long at the moment but summer will be the real test.

Only using low speed fan, does the job surprisingly well & quiet.

Got overide switch/wire to turn fan on...probably add another for high speed function for summer.

Is it worth hooking power/economy switch?

Never used that function before, ute moves quite well for the mods & turns tyres easily...sounds ordinary though lol

I have heard with boost valve its no so important to run in power mode. I have boost valve but run it anyway. Economy wise it seems to make no difference. I understand it increases line pressure. If it makes my trans last longer then i think its a good thing to run it constantly on power.

All power mode does is change tps % vs roadspeed for gear selection. I only use it when towing - earlier kickdown is a bit nicer when you’re carrying a load. Will only effect part throttle though - WOT is generally the same.

My understanding is just changes shift by few hundred rpm...can hook up earth switch to ecu wire just unsure if worth doing.

Usually had manuals or manualised auto v8

Had a decent drive last weekend. Brakes seem much better than stock, the front's pull up noticeably harder than before.

Have finished tidying up the install of the BF fan including colour matching the shroud to the colour I painted the radiator.
