I've been told the cousitc is just an offshoot of kicker. Guy I was talking to has a pretty good idea about these sort of things.

would the jaycar respnose 2x 150 watt rms be a good amp for my sub..
it says it is 500 watts rms bridged at 4 ohms.
thanks alot

Not really. You only have 1 sub so would not be able to run it at 500rms (which would be a bit too much for your sub anyway).

That sub can be run at 2ohm or 8ohm depending on how it is wired to the amp.

Look for an amp that is 400rmsx1 at 2ohm. Dont bother looking for multi channel amps, just get a monoblock (single channel amp).

If your on a budget then the jaycar amp should be good enough. just run each coil to a separate channel. 300wrms for 100bux is not too bad.

If you are just running a Pioneer sub, you dont need anything fancy, they aren't fancy subs, and they don't produce insane bass with just one basic 12" Pioneer sub really, as said above, the Jaycar amp will do the job.
