I was originally going to upgrade my rear brakes to the VN-SS/GP A DBA020 vented style rear rotor & caliper, so I could retain the standard hand brake setup. Has anyone had any experiences with fitting up a set of R32-33 twin spot rear calipers? The conversion looks simple enough, it utilizes the same DBA020 rotor, I've already upgraded to VT fronts & fast fill master cylinder.

.. you will neeed to modify the master or fit some sort of valving
otherwise the twin spot rears will be locking up all the time

I would have thought that it may help my rear brake lockup issue??? If I really stand on my current brake set up, I can lock the rears (just) before my fronts, so by distributing the same mount of CC of fluid to the 4 rear pistons (rather than 2) I "thought" it may help????? 2 fold.

1: Better brake balance.
2: Reduced brake fade due to the new ventilated rotor.

Hence why I'm asking, thanks Smitty.

I have the VT brake setup on my VC and found I had rear brake locking so I had to fit a bias valve to prevent this happening. I think fitting more powerful rear brakes could cause more rear locking.

you are fitting more powerful calipers than standard...

as you should ALWAYS have the fronts locking before the rears
the factory always fit smaller less powerful brakes on the back
and/or use a proportioning valve to reduce the hydraulic pressure

if you have rear locking issues, a smaller brake setup or a Wilwood line valve
or a factory line valve is the way to go

ps... don't forget the rears only contribute up to about 15% of a cars
braking effort . You don't need huge rears ( I run std rears with slotted
rotors and race pads on my race car... stops well from over $2.00 ;) )

Looks like the "squeeze is not worth the juice", maybe I'll stick with what I've got & add a proportional valve.

Thanks for the advice (& yes I have since changed the rotors to the correct side before anyone points it out)!
