just been thinkn not sure if ill go either way yet but what do you think would be better to do for a conversion for my calais 202 EFI

Both work quite well I would make a decision on the following,

Are you going to/wanting to mod it play with turbos etc?
If so I would got he RB30 plenty of mods and parts around.

If you want a reliable solid engine thats reasonably economical with power I owuld go the V6.
