vz ute
I own a VZ Thunder ute (auto) and just had a CAI + mafless tune done. My problem from before, and more so now, is that everytime I tramp it the back end losses traction therefore I stop having fun cause I have to let go of the accelerator.
Now, I know being a ute it's lite at the back, but would widening the rims/tyres make a whole lotta difference? At the moment I have 245's.
Or is there anything else I can do (apart from accelerating like a old woman) to stop the tyres from spinning everytime??

Are you being serious? Try a smaller shoe size. The ones you're wearing are obviously too big.

Id be looking at your tyres. get some good tyres and not cheapies. Worth it.

i have always ran good tyres under the rear except once when i was comparing. The cheap tyres i could spin all day everyday. The expensive tyres i can put my boot into at the lights and will not spin. i might get a little chirp but thats about it.

Bare in mind im running a 3.7 diff as well as a baby stall and te normal bolts on. I would have thought your ute would grip not problems. As i stated id be looking at tyres.

I had this problem with my VY sedan.
I drive my old mans VX SS and never have a problem, yet I can turn out of a side road in my VY and all it wants to do is go sideways. There is little point in driving it in the wet.
And I'm talking about 20% throttle if that.
Sometimes its as if it has a locked diff, minus the rattle.

Embrace the wheelspin! Or...... buy a couple of bags of concrete.....and put them in the tray.
