Fussy buggers the lot of you. I think you'll find the source of the problem is that the Holden red motors were painted in rocket red. So we should just blame Holden for the confusion and go to sleep happy

OP just make sure you use heat resistant paint

Click the link below in my sig for pics of red rocker covers. I used Krylon paint. It comes out of the can very smoothly. It doesn't however say heat resistant. I had my reservations but 10,000 ks later they still look great.

The paint wont have to be too heat resistant. Most rapid enamels can take over 100C. Having said that, im not sure how hot rockers actually get, But I can generally touch mine after a drive.

Oh and grammar/spelling Nazi's is a big part of being on forums, it adds to the fun.
