1988 VL manual commodore SL model
Was wishing to replace std manifold with set of extractors. Have removed manifold and found 3 broken studs. As head has to be now removed to replace these studs is there a way of reducing fuel pressure prior to disconnecting fuel lines from fuel rail.
Cheers,
Brian

Start the engine and then remove the fuel pump relay. Thats what the manual says.

Broken studs on a VL are very common. However, most can be drilled and removed with a screw extractor (easy-out or similar) without removing the head. Are you sure that the heads need to be removed?
