and a few guys at work that have VF's also have no issues with Samsungs, HTC's or even Huaweis.

100% agree - my personal phone I use after hours, but rarely in the car is an Android Samsung and works fine.
My Iphone 5 is for during B\Hrs with loads of use in the car \ travelling and cannot swap \ change to another brand due to company polices unfortunately.

I got mylink updated for my October 2013 HSV Clubsport R8 on Friday and now have the reverse camera guidelines + other fixes. My radio part number is 92273379 and software is now updated to 92281182. My previous software version was 92273398.

If you check the TIS web site (https://tis2web.service.gm.com/tis2web/) and look at the radio USB copy for your radio part number you will see the updates available. Looking at this they are available for all radio part numbers as RoganJosh has stated previously.

So I looked there, and my Radio Part # is 92275107, there appears 4 x files in the section, all starting with 9227507.xxxxx
https://tis2web.service.gm.com/tis2...thod=onSubmit&AUIIP0T5JP0W5JP0=1&bm=_top#_top

92275107.92273398
92275107.92275215
92275107.92278831
92275107.92281182

But how do we know if these are upgrades or what our radio already has? Compare to the rest of the XML \ Radio log file?

My CalaisV, March 2014 build, didn't have them - I took it in and the software update added them, they are there now!! gilby-bloke - they're telling you furfies!!

Can you confirm your Radio Model# - my similar build date is Radio # 92275107, Calais V Sportswagon.
Also - if you have a before and after radio log?

DruiD, knowing nothing about those numbers & just interpreting from what you & Prussian Steel have said, you've found the right files for your radio (part number 92275107), what you need to go looking for in MyLink (somehow) is the software version. It appears the files you have listed are software versions 92273398, 92275215, 92278831 and 92281182 for part-number 92275107.

ie. what I suspect is that your radio will probably have a software-version lower than 92281182, and hence because a 92281182 is available you'll be able to update it (or get it updated).

I also tend to agree with that but waiting confirmation, I emailed holden customer care at 10pm last night, they both rang me at 8am this morning - basically asking for photos of all the versions, so I sent that along with VIN, RADIO PART # and my RADIO LOG file - see what they say.

My full listing of software versions in the Radio menu is

VR ute & VF SSV ute
At my first service I tried the "my phone loses connection" trick, so the dealer ran a scan and detected no errors so no reverse lines. So I tried another tact when booking in for the 18 month service and flatly asked for the mylink upgrade and was told that if there are no faults it was considered an upgrade and would cost me $320 for the pleasure. Not sure whether to indulge them or not? I think its a bit pricey, really should be a complimentary update considering the cost of buying the thing.

Try a different dealer?

Because:
We bought a 2014 Redline demo, one of the conditions was that they'd update MyLink so we got the reversing lines. Dealer happy to do it.
Excuse when I picked it up --> "the machine's been down all week, we'll just do it at your 3000km service/checkup".

3000km later, the salesman is obviously no longer involved, so I described the situation to the guy I was booking the service with.
He said "the iPhone won't stay connected with Bluetooth and MyLink is freezing".
I said nah, no problems like that.
He said "no ... the iPhone won't stay connected with Bluetooth and MyLink is freezing, which means we'll have to install the latest software to resolve it".
I said ... oh, yeah, that.

I took my 2014 SV6 Sportswagon in for a service today at City Motors in Perth and did the "iphone connection issues" trick and got the update with reverse lines. They mentioned that a newer update was coming but still happily checked anyway.

Strange.. I asked literally the same thing at my 15k service, got told the booking was too late in the day to do but they'll check, all well and good. Came back to pick up the ute and he said its all up to date.. no reverse lines.. no worries. So at my 24k I asked the same thing and said straight up that I'm having connection problems with the bluetooth and i want the mylink update, they had the car for the whole day and i was told that they're waiting on the update from holden so ill have to wait until then.. These where 2 different dealers. Don't know why you have to mention a different problem to get the guide lines and can't just ask for what you want..

I had my car in for a service a while back and asked about the upgrade. This was the third time trying. I got the car back with the same BS story about why it can't be done.
I promptly produced the letter that a JC member kindly scanned earlier in this thread which was from Holden customer service, it was in regards to such upgrades being done for free and even more importantly just being done!
Obviously I felt like a d**k head handing over a letter not addressed to me and printed from a car forum, but the Service manager looked like a bigger one when he read it. He asked if he could keep the car overnight, and you wouldn't read about, but the next morning the "impossible" upgrade was done!
