Had the 3yr/60k service done on the Magnum almost a fortnight ago.
Just received an email from Holden with some good news.
They've extended my 'roadside assist' until October 2022.

Anyone else received this?

No.

Mine ran out earlier this year and I couldn't see anywhere to renew it so I opted for the NRMA.

Bugger.

P.S. My Ute is due for it's service next week.

.

When it was delivered, I think it had 2 years of roadside assist, and if serviced by Holden, we were credited with the third year.
I figured it was finished at its 3rd anniversary.
I was pretty happy to find it has 2 years to go.

save your money, get your car towed home if you ever break down - will save a fortune.

Over the long term you can say that about all forms of insurance, it the gamble you take for a small amount of peace of mind.

I would have saved well over $5k in tow fees over the years I have been in RACT and RAA. I think roadside assist is well worth the $200 a year you pay. Even new cars break down sometimes.

Wow it's gone up since my recollection of the cost! I thought my NRMA was around the $100 mark!!

Low cover might still be around that price. But if you want unlimited towing km, free petrol if you run out and a few other premium options like free motel if you get a flat, or blow a globe, you need to pay $200 a year.

Pretty sure all the LE's had this from Holden, 2 years roadside assist, plus an extra 12 months if you service it at Holden.
I'm sure it was listed in the PDF's released by Holden.

What was surprising was an email giving me an extra 2 years.
